Sunsets on Alki are always a great time to get out and take some photos. It makes me think of my wonderful wife and when I proposed to her overlooking the city...which happened to be completely fogged in. Most of the time though you have an amazing view of downtown. During the past week Mandy has been gone in Kansas City and so I've had the opportunity to get out more than normal. That sounded kind of bad.....yes, Mandy does let me out of the house. Lately I've gotten kind of bored of the typical shot of downtown Seattle...even though it is amazing. So when I went down to Alki yesterday with my friend Craig to shoot some photos I tried to look for something else that captured my eye. Recently I've been really into wide angle photos and so I've been drooling over the Canon 10-22mm ultra-wide zoom lens. Maybe someday.....probably not anytime soon. So for now I'll use my trusty kit lens. The widest it goes is 18mm. So here is in my opinion the best shot of our trip down to Alki at the widest I could get this shot:
Taken: June 11, 2009
Focal length: 18mm
Shutter speed: 1/2 sec
Aperture: f/18
ISO: 100
Notes: 3 exposure HDR processed in Photomatix
